Supporting Children & Teenagers Today for a Better Tomorrow

Daffodil Care provides care and support to young people transitioning to adulthood to prepare them for the future. This includes children and teenagers between the ages of 14 and 18. We understand that transition to adulthood is one of the most critical phases in life. A little care and encouragement during these years can go a long way in helping children grow into skilled and confident adults who give back to the community.

How We
Help

We aim to help children and teenagers by assisting them in navigating challenges such as mental illness, unemployment, homelessness, physical or sexual abuse, delinquency, and a lack of access to health care. Daffodil Care Transition to Adulthood program can also assist with the following:

Day-to-Day Activities & Life Skills

We help children and youngsters learn essential life skills that will help them overcome day-to-day challenges in the long run. It is particularly beneficial for children with learning or physical disabilities as they prepare to lead independent lives as young adults.

Money Management

Money management is an important aspect of transitioning to adulthood. We strive to teach money management techniques that can help young children manage their finances once they turn 18 and make better and informed decisions that will help them secure their financial future. The goal is to provide skills that can ensure financial stability for young adults and their families in the future.

Job Searching Skills

Teenagers and young adults often struggle to find and retain employment, which can have long-term adverse effects on their personal, social, and professional lives. Therefore, as part of the transition-to-adulthood care and support, we help polish job searching skills to help guide teenagers towards a long and prosperous professional career.

Counseling & Emotional Support

Issues faced during childhood, such as disability, homelessness, abuse, delinquency, and a lack of health care, can lead to life-long emotional trauma. Unprocessed emotions and trauma can affect the personal as well as professional lives of individuals, keeping them from reaching their full potential. Therefore, at Daffodil Care, we offer 1:1 counselling as part of the transition to adulthood to provide children with the emotional support that they need to integrate into the community and lead fulfilling lives.
